It’s been a while since I last posted because I am away at school, but I was able to get something that will make the house both unique and is useful. My dad found an old Dwyer all-in-one kitchen on ebay, and I was able to win the bidding war for it. He and I will need to drive up to Green Bay to pick it up, but if everything works on it, I will have a nice kitchen unit that is small and fits the house well.
It has a sink, 3 burner stove, oven, and a fridge. I am still going to get an apartment-sized fridge though because I could use the freezer space this one can’t offer.
Here are some pictures of it. I will, of course, add more once it is installed. That may be a while down the road because there is a lot of work to do before we move finishing things into the house.
I am hoping everything works on it because otherwise parts will be hard to find as it is nearly 60 years old.

Oh dude that is an awesome find! I’m sure you’ll get it working. If there’s any trouble there are people who specialize in repairing vintage kitchen stuff like this. Maybe you should try to locate one just in case, one day it will need some sort of help. Good luck!

I’ve thought about those all-in-one things but I’m heck bent on cooking with gas and being off grid as much as possible.
I am planning on leaving the possibility of using solar power in the future. For now I am going all electrical, with the possible exception of an on-demand hot water heater so that I do not need to have multiple fuel sources for everything in the house to work.

If it was made 60 years ago, it most likely works and will last another 60. They dont make things like they used too….good find.
That’s my experience too, working on vintage campers with vintage appliances. They usually start right up!
I love the all in one kitchen – I saw one the other day at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore and have been wishing I had bought it since…it’s perfect for tiny houses, and I love the vintage aesthetic!
